GeM (Government e-Marketplace) is an online public procurement platform invented by the Government of India to facilitate transparent, efficient, and paperless purchases of goods and services by various government departments, ministries, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and independent organizations.
It is mandatory for the central and state government organizations to procure certain items through GeM, making it one of the largest online marketplaces for B2G (Business to Government) transactions in India.

Step 1: Visit the Official GeM Portal
*Go to: https://gem.gov.in
Step 2: Click on "Sign Up" > "Seller"
* On the top right corner, click "Sign Up" option.
Step 3: Enter Business Details
You will be asked to fill the details like:
Step 4: Enter Contact Details
Provide the details mentioned below:
Step 5: Create Login Credentials
Step 6: Aadhaar & PAN Verification
You’ll need to verify:
Step 7: Enter Bank Details
Fill in your:
Bank account number
IFSC code
Upload cancelled cheque or bank verification
This is used for receiving payments from the government buyers.
Step 8: Upload Required Documents
You’ll need to upload documents like:
Company registration certificate
PAN card
GST certificate (if applicable)
Authorization letter (for authorized personnel)
Product images/specs (if listing products)
Step 9: List Your Products or Services
After profile approval:
Go to "Catalog" > "Add New Offering"
Choose the correct category
Add product/service name, specifications, price, stock, images
Submit for the final approval
Step 10: Start Selling
Once your product/service is approved:
Your listing goes live
